Final collection designs 

After working on a variety of designs I finally chose my final six pieces for a collection. These are designs of front side.

Light weight fabric
Here are few designs I created based on light weight fabric shapes.

Today we started to experiment with fabric. I used same patterns I used to create designs from  paper. To create silhouettes I use light weight fabric. I found it harder to create same style of shapes I could make working with paper as fabric is much harder to shape way you want.

Knitting project 
This is a sample of dyed yarn. I used turmeric, blue food coloring and onion skins to dye this yarn.

 

For this swatch I used shredded cotton T-shirt and after dyed and bleached it. 

 

Shredded yarn. 

 

Loop stitch.

 

As my final piece I made shoulder piece from felted and simple wool yarn.

 

I used different size knitting needles for this piece. To decorate my piece I made felted flower.

After choosing two shapes I would like to create designs I enlarged size I wanted and started to place them on manikin, here are some designs I created.

After creating these silhouettes on manikin I traced them again on the paper.
